CREATE - Current News

  • CREATE begins Year 23 operation with the 2025-2026 school year.
  • All individuals employed full-time (in or out of the classroom) by a SC public and charter school are eligible for CREATE scholarship funds, including teachers, teacher assistants, non-instructional staff, and office staff. CREATE is not intended for school site and central office administrators.
  • Scholarship funds (tuition waivers) are placed on student accounts at colleges where recipients are enrolled. CREATE reimburses textbook costs and Praxis II exam registration fees (initial licensure only).
  • Recipients pursuing add-on in special education or PACE-Emotional Disabilities programs may take coursework at one/more CREATE-sponsored colleges, unless indicated otherwise.
  • Recipients pursuing add-on in related services programs (assistive technology, behavior analysis-intervention, orientation-mobility, or secondary transition) and degree programs (Bachelor's, MAT, MA/MS-SLP, Specialist-SPSY) must take all coursework at the respective CREATE-sponsored college where they are enrolled, unless transfer coursework is approved in advance by their college advisor.
