CREATE begins Year 23 operation with the 2025-2026 school year.
All individuals employed full-time (in or out of the classroom) by a SC public and charter school are eligible for CREATE scholarship funds, including teachers, teacher assistants, non-instructional staff, and office staff. CREATE is not intended for school site and central office administrators.
Scholarship funds (tuition waivers) are placed on student accounts at colleges where recipients are enrolled. CREATE reimburses textbook costs and Praxis II exam registration fees (initial licensure only).
Recipients pursuing add-on in special education or PACE-Emotional Disabilities programs may take coursework at one/more CREATE-sponsored colleges, unless indicated otherwise.
Recipients pursuing add-on in related services programs (assistive technology, behavior analysis-intervention, orientation-mobility, or secondary transition) and degree programs (Bachelor's, MAT, MA/MS-SLP, Specialist-SPSY) must take all coursework at the respective CREATE-sponsored college where they are enrolled, unless transfer coursework is approved in advance by their college advisor.
