Pursuant to IDEA 34 C.F.R. §§ 300.149, 300.211, and 300.600 through 300.604, and 300.640 through 300.646, local education agencies (LEAs) are required to submit information and data relative to students with disabilities to enable the state to carry out its responsibilities of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, 2004, including, but not limited to, the completion of IDEA Section 616 data (State Performance Plan Indicators) and IDEA Section 618 data (IDEA Tables).
Failure to provide timely and accurate information to the state may result in findings of noncompliance, a lowered IDEA determination, required general supervision activities, and fiscal sanctions, including, but not limited to redirection of funds, withholding of funds, or recoupment of funds, until such time as the LEA can demonstrate fulfillment of its reporting requirements obligations.
