  • National Autism Center (NAC) at May Institute

    The National Autism Center is May Institute’s Center for the Promotion of Evidence-based Practice. It is a nonprofit organization dedicated to disseminating evidence-based information about the treatment of autism spectrum disorder (ASD), promoting best practices, and offering comprehensive and reliable resources for families, practitioners, and communities

  • The National Autism Resource and Information Center
    The Arc is the largest national community-based organization advocating for and serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. They provide resources to families and individuals living with autism spectrum disorder. You’ll find information on job-related subjects such as employment research and reports, supported employment, transition planning for job opportunities, vocational rehabilitation as well as information on classroom and education related subjects such as individualized education programs.
  • TRIAD, Vanderbilt Kennedy Center

    The Vanderbilt Treatment and Research Institute for Autism Spectrum Disorders (TRIAD) is dedicated to improving assessment and treatment services for children with autism spectrum disorders and their families while advancing knowledge and training.

  • National Association of Special Education Teachers

    Provides academic support on assistive technology, teaching social skills, and understanding Autism Spectrum Disorder.

  • Autism Speaks

    Autism Speaks through partnerships and collaborations as well as through advocacy and support provides an increasing understanding and acceptance of people with autism.  They advance research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions.  This is a link to a school community toolkit that provides resources beneficial to the classroom and school environment.

    OCALI provides resources for educators, families, and communities such as online learning, UDL (Universal Design for Learning), and educator planning to meet the needs of diverse learners just to name a few.

  • DDSN (South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs)

    SCDDSN is the state agency that plans, develops, oversees and funds services for South Carolinians with severe, lifelong disabilities of intellectual disability, autism, traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury and conditions related to each of these four disabilities. They provide both home and community based services such as early intervention for children ages 3-6, respite services, employment services, and supported and supervised living program models.
