OSES is committed to assisting students with disabilities in achieving their post-school and career goals. IDEA requires that transition services be made available to students with disabilities as they prepare for and enter postsecondary life. OSES works together with our local education agencies (LEAs), the Transition Alliance of South Carolina (TASC), as well as other state agencies to facilitate improved outcomes for students with disabilities. In South Carolina transition services begin at age 13.
